Indian Cooking Recipe : Tomatoes Stuffed With Spaghetti

Ingredients :

For the tomatoes stuffed with spaghetti :
700 gms small round tomatoes
1½ teacups boiled spaghetti
1 onions, chopped
1 capsicum, chopped
½ green chilli, chopped (optional)
4 to 5 tbsp grated cooking cheese
1 tbsp butter or ghee
salt and pepper to taste

For the white sauce
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp plain flour
2 teacups milk
salt and pepper to taste

Method :

For the white sauce :

Melt the butter, put the flour and cook for 2 minutes without browning and keep on stirring throughout.

Take out from the heat and gradually add the milk.

Combine until well blended.

Return to heat and cook slowly, stirring throughout until the sauce thickens.

Put salt and pepper and mix properly.

For the tomatoes stuffed with spaghetti

Cut the tops of tomatoes and scoop them.

Heat the butter, put the onion and sauté for some time.

Put the capsicum and green chilli and fry for a few minutes.

Put the spaghetti mixture. Grease a flat baking dish and keep the filled tomatoes. Sprinkle thickly with the cheese and bake in a hot oven

at 400ºF for 20 minutes.

Ready to serve hot.
