The Windows 8 Pro upgrade license is only $69.99 plus another $30 Amazon.com credit.
That means the net cost of Windows 8 Pro upgrade is only $39.99.
The Amazon.com promotional credit lasts until midnight on October 20th, 2012 and is limited to the United States.
Hobbyists and OEM computer builders can pre-order a complete license, without Microsoft support, for $99 called the Windows 8 System Builder. Amazon.com is not offering the $30 credit on System Builder.

Windows 8 is one of the most anticipated upgrades to Windows since Windows 95. Microsoft is said to be spending $1.5 billion in advertising to promote the October 26th launch.
While some pundits and users say they won’t upgrade, more than 2 million people have downloaded the free pre-Release software. There is enormous buzz about Windows 8.
I have used Windows 8 since February and cannot wait – OK I can wait but I will be upgrading three computers almost instantly to Windows 8.
