The new Chief Moses Zaza Salvator Mahadi [©Gurtong]The Western Equatoria State (WES) Minister of Local Government and Law enforcement Mr. Wilson Sidigi was last Thursday crowned as Chief Moses Zaza Salvator Mahadi to replace the late chief Essa Gbatanyaki who died in 2011at Nanndi Payam in Ezo County. 

The chief was crowned according to the Local Government Act in the presence of the State Governor and other top government officials.  

The WES Governor Hon. Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro urged the citizens of Nanndi to respect their new chief since they elected him to lead them.  

He also revealed that,   soon they will elect the king of the Azande replacing the late chief of Ezo, Tombura, and Gbudue of Yambio.  

Bakosoro reiterated his stand to consider education and health top priority for 2012. He donated 5,000 SSP to the office of the new chief and uniforms to all the sub chiefs and headmen.

Meanwhile the Commissioner of Ezo County Mr. Evans Mario encouraged the new chief to consultant the elders for advice. 

Chief Moses stated that his agenda will focus on security, unity and agriculture in order to fight hunger in his area.

Commissioner Evans Mario promised to promote unity and hard work to boost development in Ezo County.He made this remarks last Monday in a family gathering for Christmas celebration at Badunguyo Boma in Ezzo County and appreciated the community of Badunguyo Boma for their solidarity and being vigilant during the LRA atrocities which hit their County displacing many from their farms and original settlements.
