The National Disciplinary Committee of Appeals of ANC has announced to have postponed the hearing of the appeal filed by the former leader of ANCYL Julius Malema on Thursday.
According to various media reports, the situation at the hearing of the case of expulsion of Malema from the party after he was declared guilty of sowing seeds of division within the party, got very heated up as the arguments turned into war of words and the committee asked the lawyer of Malema to submit written arguments from now on other than verbally communicating with the committee as they will not arrange for any more meetings to be carried out.
After quite a few arguments, the panel of the committee finally agreed that the proceedings of the case can be postponed to a date which was decided to be 18 April. Malema and the other two leaders of ANCYL, Sindiso Magaqa and Floyd Shivambu, hired a new lawyer after the case was postponed. In the latter half of the discussion, it was decided amongst the new lawyer and the prosecution that from now on the meetings will be done in writing other than verbal arguments.
The ruling of the disciplinary committee had initially declared that Malema and the other two members of the youth league of ANC are guilty of dividing the party and brining bad name to it.
