The revised and the final draft of the proposal put forward by the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) was tabled in the joint session of the parliament on Friday.

The recommendations put forward by the finalized draft include that the sovereignty of Pakistan should not be put at risk and both the countries should progress further with mutual respect for sovereignty and must respect territorial integrity and independence of both states. The proposal had a total of 14 recommendations which were presented by the chairperson of the PCNS Senator Raza Rabbani.

The recommendations also say that the United States must review what it has been doing in Pakistan and the way they have been treating the country, which implies that drone attacks within the boundaries of Pakistan must stop immediately. It also said that Pakistan will not allow transportation of arms or ammunition of any sort to go to the NATO forces operating in Afghanistan via Pakistan anymore, which includes transportation via road and the air space of Pakistan.

Another recommendation said that the security and safety of the nuclear plant of Pakistan will not be compromised in any manner and that the United States need to apologize to Pakistan unconditionally regarding the Salala check point incident which took place on 26 November 2011.
