The new Yei River County Commissioner Juma David Augustine has advised the residents to report any security lapses to the state authorities.

Speaking at the conclusion of a tour of the county’s five payams at Pakula Boma, David pledged to prioritise development during his tenure.

The trip took him to Mugwo, Otogo, Tore and Lasu Payams.

During the County Commissioner’s visit to Pakula, area leaders cautioned residents over illegal logging and smuggling of oil products.

The leaders also appealed to the county authorities to allocate a garbage and sewage dumping site so as to keep the town clean.

They also called for the rehabilitation of roads and bridges in the area, saying it greatly hampered access to markets.

The Commissioner’s tour concluded with the inauguration of a bore hole at Marju sub boma that was constructed by the Constituency Development Fund.
