The project Manager Kumboyo Philip Wandale said at the opening ceremony that the training seeks to sensitise pupils on how to keep the scourge at bay.

“Children at tender age need to be informed on the danger of HIV/AIDS that is gradually killing people”, he said. He added that peer group pressure has led many students to drop out of school out of ignorance.

The participants are also trained to transform their behaviourand fit well in the society. Wandale urged the youth to take advantage of the training to prevent its spread.

At the end of the training, the pupils will be able to form a peer educators’ club and continuously create awareness in school and transfer the same to their parents.
