Keje Josephine told Gurtong that she delivered a baby girl after an operation at the Torit Hospital but unfortunately lost her baby to an abductor.
The woman from Magwi County was brought to Torit State Hospital for better attention as referred by doctors.
According to Mrs. Regina Ojo, a midwife at the hospital, the woman arrived at the hospital on Monday 21 for delivery and started nurturing her baby until Friday 25 at when another woman entered into the ward pretending to be a midwife and tricked her to take the baby for some check up when she took the baby never to be seen.
Ministry’s officials have told the press that investigations are underway to probe the disappearance and security forces are deployed on high alert in the town.
