Part of the destroyed businesses includes two lodges, one Barber’s shop and a Salon.

The fire engines arrived but could not salvage anything as they claimed their pipes failed to pump water and had to leave.

A 30-year old Kenyan identified as Milka, had her salon shop destroyed and is reported to have lost all her belongings.

Victoria Lodge’s owner Samuel Akuen and D3 Lodge and Bar tenant Gideon Kariuki also lost their investments in the fire as they could not manage to put off the raging fire.

Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the fire following a quarrel they had earlier and were taken in for interrogations at Police Central Unit in Torit County.
