The residents of Gangura Payam in Yambio County have started the clearing of roads to facilitate the transportation of produce.

The Physical Infrastructure and Public Utilities Minister Clement Mbugoniwia together with the State Legislative Assembly Speaker James Bage and Hon. George Costa Bamandara from the National Assembly visited the road opening in Birisi in Gangura Payam.

The Minister said that the project was initiated by the Community supported by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure in form of uprooting trees using the grader and AAH organization which is supplying the ministry with fuel in order to boost the project.

Clement further stressed that, the Community raised a number of challenges like lack of clean water and schools.

The minister sent staff from the Directorate of Water and Sanitation to assess the water situation in Gangura and give a way forward as soon as possible because the situation is really horrible.

The Speaker urged the people of Western Equatoria to do the same and the government and partners will then intervene because development is always a joint effort especially at this critical moment.
