The South Sudan SPLM Youth League leader of Matangai Payam in the county Gabriel Mabor Chot has also urged the Government of Southern Sudan and civil society groups to double their efforts in sensitising the populace on the crucial vote slated for January 9, 2011.
He encouraged those with some knowledge on the exercise to share it with the rest in a bid to boost the number of votes.
Expressing a strong desire for separation, Chot said that 75 percent of the referendum information has already been disseminated in Lakes State, adding that the remaining 25 percent refers to the registration process that is scheduled for November 15, 2010.
The youth leader at the same time urged every South Sudanese to get involved in the process regardless of their age or social status.
“The fruits of an independent South Sudan will be enjoyed by all of us. So let us all come out and work hard towards this noble cause”, he said.
He cautioned the communities against the false thinking that the voter card used during the April polls can be used at the referendum and urged the locals to register afresh when the exercise kicks off to enable them take part in the referendum.
