The Governor has promoted three county commissioners to ministerial positions and appointed two state ministers as county commissioners.

In the new appointments Kapoeta North County Commissioner Lokai Iko Loteyo has swapped his position with Charles Lokonoi Ambrose to become Minister of Local Government, Law Enforcement and Wildlife Conservation.

The immediate former State Minister for Finance, Commerce, Investment and Economic Planning Sam Felix Makuja becomes the Budi County Commissioner and has been replaced by the immediate former Budi County boss Maurice Kaunda Merisiya.

Governor Lojore has also appointed the Kapoeta South County Commissioner Martin Lorika Lojam as the new State Minister of Animal resources and Fisheries. State Assembly Member Martin Lopir is the new Kapoeta South County Commissioner.

The State Minister of Animal resources and Fisheries Patrick Lodinga has been transferred to head the Youth and Sports Ministry while the previous minister, Mark Akio Ukinbul, moves to the Information and Telecommunication docket.

The former Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Minister John Ochan has been moved to the Cabinet and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry and has swapped offices with Clement Chichim Laku.

Former Gender, Culture and Social Development minister Paska Hifita Oduho has been moved to head the State Ministry of Education which has been vacant following the departure of Michael Lopuke Lotyam who was appointed Under-Secretary in the national ministry.

The Governor has also relieved the State Advisor on Gender, Social Welfare and Human Rights Emilio Paul Loki of his duties and appointed Paul Langa as the State Government Advisor on Peace and Security.

The state cabinet reshuffle comes after a similar exercise at the State Assembly where the Speaker relieved chairpersons of specialised Committees of duty and appointed new officials.
