The state government was surprised after hearing inmate Dok Maker Mabor speaking on the local Radio FM 98 asking the government to be fair in his trial process while accusing government of having a hand in his sentence.
Dok Maker Mabor was sentence to death by hanging on August 5, 2014 for the murder of the Thuyicparamount chief, Apereer Chut Dhuol, the elder brother of Lakes state military caretaker Governor, Maj-Gen Matur Chut Dhuol in Pacong about 12 miles away from Rumbek Central County.
On Friday 2nd, a committee of five members headed by Riel Majok Manyiel in the Ministry of Information and communication started investigating Radio Rumbek Director, Peter Maliap Chieng Malok on how journalists get access to such level of inmates.
However, the Correctional Prison Service Director, Bol Ador said that the State Minister of Social Welfare, Monica Achol Abil Aguek visited the prison during the festive season to talk to inmates with a number of journalist, leading to an easy access.
