Eastern Equatoria State Governor, Louis Lobong Lojore has issued a gubernatorial decree, appointing the former Director General of the state Ministry of Information, Mrs. Margaret Idwa as the Minister of Gender, Culture and Social Development with effect from 4th January 2015.
Following the recent reshuffle in the state, the position of the state ministry of Gender, Culture and Social Development, had been left unoccupied pending consultations.
The appointment of Margaret Idwa is in line with fulfilling the 25 percent affirmative action for women.
In a related development, the governor issued a separate decree relieving his Advisor on Political and Administrative Affairs Hon. Felix Otuduha Siro from duty.
The Governor thanked the outgoing advisor Otuduha for the services he rendered during his advisory role in the government of Eastern Equatoria State.
