The broadcasting rights of Cricket World Cup 2011 have been sold by ICC. ESPN Star purchased the broadcasting rights of Cricket World Cup 2011 for around 2 Billion Dollars. The Cricket World Cup 2011 will be telecasted live in about 220 countries all around the world. The Cricket World Cup 2011 will be telecasted in High Definition format. 3G mobile streaming will also show Cricket World Cup 2011 for the first time.
ICC World cup 2011 will be played by fourteen teams from nations such as India, Sri Lanka, Australia, West Indies, South Africa, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Canada, England, Kenya, Ireland, and Netherlands. There are two groups of these fourteen teams and each group contains seven teams. Each team has to play a minimum of 6 matches. At the Group Stage, every team will play with each other. Top four teams from each group will be qualified for the quarter-finals. Semi Finals will be played by winners of Quarterfinal and the winner of Semi Finals will compete for final match.
