Gurgaon: Anna Hazare has been discharged from Medanta Medicity Hospital where he had been under treatment for the past four days after breaking 12-day fast demanding a strong Lokpal. The activist left from the back door to avoid the media which was present outside the hospital premises.

Before departure, Hazare took solid diet for the first time since being admitted in the hospital. Dr Naresh Trehan, CEO and chairman of Medanta Medicity said, "His condition is near normal and has started taking dal-roti and porridge”.

Further Trehan added, “Hazare’s blood-pressure was 140/90, which is normal, and his pulse rate was 80 per minute. He has also gained 400 Gms in the last 24 hours and he now weighs 67 kg.

Also, the ketones presence in his urine is normal now and his liver and kidneys are functioning well. At present, Hazare is headed to his village in Maharashtra, Ralegon Siddhi.
