Man arrested in the 2009 murder of Andres David Buritica Marin

Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Homicide Bureau have arrested a wanted individual in relation to a 2009 homicide.

On June 2, 2009, at 10:00 p.m., officers responded to a 9-1-1 call at the rear of an apartment building on Shipp Drive, in Mississauga, regarding a male who had been shot. Upon arrival, officers found the 25 year-old male victim, Andres David BURITICA-MARIN, suffering from a fatal gunshot injury.

In June, 2009 investigators from the Homicide Bureau arrested and charged the following parties;

Ryan Merrick JOHNSON, a 41 year-old male from Mississauga. He was charged with Second Degree Murder.

Collin Nathan Theodore REID, a 45 year-old male from Brampton. He was charged with Second Degree Murder.

Denton MCKENZIE, a 49 year-old male from Brampton. He was charged with Second Degree Murder.

On August 18, 2009 a Canada-Wide Warrant was issued for Kevin JOHNSON.

On Tuesday, August 30, 2011 after an extensive investigation, members of the Homicide Bureau arrested and charged Kevin JOHNSON, a 34 year-old man, with Second Degree Murder. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, August 30, 2011.
