The assembly in Kerala has been brought to a halt following the suspension of CPM MLAs James Mathew and T.V Rajesh .Opposition LDF MLAs demonstrated in the well of the House for the second day on Tuesday over suspension of two CPI(M) members.

The opposing party took out the strike inside the assembly due to the speaker issuing a letter invalidating suspension for showing disrespect to the chair.

T.V Rajesh and James Mathew were suspended on Monday for their disruptive act in the house on 14th October as the opposition was protesting police firing incident.

The party-led LDF opposition later launched an indefinite sit-in in the assembly protesting the suspension of T V Rajesh and James Mathew following a resolution moved by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. The LDF members rushed to the well of the House shouting slogans denouncing the action against their colleagues and many of them refused to leave the assembly hall even after Speaker G Karthikeyan adjourned the House for the day demanding the suspension be revoked.

This latest battle between the ruling congress-led UDF and LDF was in continuation to the uproar in the house witnessed on October 14  when a security woman was allegedly assaulted by the suspended MLAs while protesting police firing during a student stir in Kozhikode on October 10.
