Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh who was charged for his alleged role in the cash for votes scam will be presented in Delhi high court on Tuesday. The court will hear his bail request.
Justice Suresh Kait decided to hear Amar Singh’s temporary along with his regular bail request on Wednesday at 2.15pm after the state counsel sought a postponement due to non-availability of its senior advocate to advance arguments on its half.
A city court on 28th September rejected Amar Singh’s interim and regular bail request, after which he presented his request in the high court. The city court rejected his request because they thought he played a significant role in the scam which was aimed at disgracing parliamentary democracy.
AIIMS which is the All India Institute of Medical Sciences is the hospital where Amar Singh is admitted. Professor Doctor Sanjay Gupta of the AIIMS’ Department of Nephrology submitted his medical report which said “He needs to be constantly monitored for renal function, infections and if he is travelling he should be under the supervision of nephrologists, a dialysis technician, a nurse and use ambulance/air ambulance for emergency,”
