A Singapore Indian was found seriously injured at the junction of Geylang Road at 2:20 am Monday morning.

The victim was critically injured. Local police authorities who found the injured man took him to the nearby Tan Tock Seng Hospital immediately. However, due to the severity of the wounds, the victim could not survive. He was declared dead by the hospital authorities at 3:12 am.

According to the initial investigations, the victim was assaulted and left on the road side to die. No eyewitnesses were found and police authorities have no leads whatsoever on the murderer.

The victim is a 43-year-old man from the origin of India. He was found at the Lorong 20 Geylang. Whereabouts of the victim and the murder both remain anonymous. No documents or any proof of identification was found with the victim or around the scene of investigation.

Police authorities have posted the case as a murder investigation and appointed detectives to solve the case at the earliest. The investigating team has also requested the people of the area or anyone who might know about the victim, murderer, or anything relating to the case that can help them come to a conclusion soon.

The dead body has been sent for post-mortem to have a clear direction to approach the case.
