The ex-Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad commented on the developments regarding Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd Thursday morning saying the listing of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd will benefit the organization in long term growth and help generate ample capital for further development.
He also said that the commercial wing of the company will benefit at large from the raised capital which can be used for business expansion as well as product diversification. The process can lead the company to exploring new business segments and making profits by becoming industry leaders. Moreover, with increased spending on business activities, the company will be able to attract more investors and offer more benefits to the clients and settlers.
He expressed his opinion on the advancements made by the company to the media Thursday morning at the launch event of Malaysia OSV Owners’ Association. He said, “The settlers themselves cannot afford to buy shares and expand the company. So listing is one way to inject more capital and investment. At the end, the settlers will be given the same level of dividend. So there is nothing to lose.”
The chairman of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd, Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad made an announcement yesterday saying that the company is planning to launch a special-purpose vehicle in order to make sure that the settler’s benefits are directly given via Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd’s listing, including other future benefits from the listed business.
