Dr Mahathir Mohammad has openly asked those raising questions to start an inquiry on the alleged RM 100 billion losses during his power regime.

He said he has no problem with a detailed investigation on the issue in a press conference yesterday. He also said, “You can audit. In fact, all Tuns must be audited, from the Tuns to the Tuns’ children and the Tuns’ grandchildren.”

Mahathir responded to the blog post of one of the government officials, Lim Kit Siang, who demanded that a formal inquiry must the launched against the ex-leader in respect to the millions of losses the state had to incur due to the financial scandals rising in his regime.

Speaking on other current matters, Dr Mahathir also commented that if PAS intended to bring a non-Muslim deputy president, now is the time to act upon their intentions. He used harsh words inquiring about the status of Umno who had to suffer serious consequences of siding with the non-Muslim community. He said that the party had two-faced agenda and they were not acting upon the things they say.

He said, “What is wrong with working with non-Muslims? After all, they are also Malaysians.”

He also commented on the action taken by the PM to gain access to the full declaration of assets of all government officers and their families by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
