The current Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif was elected unopposed at the party meeting of PML-N held for electing the president of Punjab. No other party leader submitted documents for the post and Shahbaz Sharif was once again declared the unopposed leader of PML-N, Punjab Division.

The internal party session took place on Monday at Awam-e-Iqbal where party leader Nawaz Sharif and other important party leaders also participated. The new addition to PML-N, Marvi Memon, was also a part of the meeting. It was her first party session where party members warmly welcomed her to their party at the introduction of the new members by the leaders. Workers and other party members congratulated and raised slogans in her and the favor of party welcoming the new member as Marvi kept responding to their cheers humbly.

The meeting also unanimously approved of the agenda of not giving up their resolution to the fight of recovering the missing persons. The gathering also commented on the Kohistan massacre which ended in the killing of 18
Pakistan nationals by unknown terrorists on Tuesday. Condemning the act party requested the ruling party to bring the wrong-doers of the incident to justice.

Upon winning the leadership in Punjab once again, Shahbaz Sharif thanked his colleagues and co-workers for their faith in him and promised that he will work for each and every corner of the province as promised and fulfill all the pledges he has made.
