The law and order situation of Lyari went out of control on Sunday after police authorities killed an innocent man during a raid at one of the suspected hide outs. For the second consecutive day, the condition in Lyari remains out of control with protestors burning tyres and fighting police resulting in four deaths and six severely injured on Monday.

According to the police authorities, fire was opened from the raiding party initially and the police had no choice but to respond with opening fire which resulted in the death of an innocent man who sustained a fatal bullet along a police official also getting hurt.

However, the situation in the region of Lyari has remained extremely violent with residents scared to stay inside their houses and gunmen roaming around openly without anyone taking charge of the situation. Protestors have halted all daily routines by closing down schools, offices, and businesses. They claim that the police authorities are laying about the raid and consider that it was a “fake” operation.

The situation in the region got out of control when the protestors attacked one of the police contingent present in their range, where the police authorities claim to have no choice but to open fire to disperse the crowd. The streets were abandoned by the protestors but only for a couple of minutes to return again with a greater force, worsening the situation further.
