SINGAPORE – The Economic Development Board (EDB) has declared that Dr Beh Swan Gin, 44, will be appointed as a Permanent Secretary of Law in the latest round of public sector management changes and Mr Yeah Keat Chuan, 41, as its managing director. Both the appointments take effect from July 1.

Mr Pang Kin Keong who is the current Permanent Secretary of Law will be appointed as the Transport Permanent Secretary of Ministry. Mr Pang will be taking over the position previously held by Mr Choi Shing Kwok, who will be the Permanent Secretary at Ministry of Environment and Water Resources (MEWR).    

Mr Yeoh Keat Chuan will be made responsible for carefully supervising the EDB’s investment promotion efforts, transport engineering and other industry sectors.

Lieutenant General (NS) Desmond Kuek, the current Permanent Secretary for (MEWR),  is leaving his position after two years to "explore new opportunities in the private sector", said Public Service Division yesterday.
