A deadly road accident near Jalandhar claimed the life of eleven children and a driver. A school bus of Akal Academy collided with a truck in Punjab at 8 a.m. on Monday. Seven children were reported dead on spot while four passed away on their way to medical facility.
Injured students were rushed to Nakodar civil hospital where they are under critical observation of experience doctors. Reportedly, a few victims will be transported to a Ludhiana hospital for enhanced medical care.
Allegedly, the school bus collided with a bricks loaded truck which was driving on the wrong side of the road. The driver lost control of his truck, causing a head on collision.
The truck driver allegedly fled from the scene and an FIR has been lodged against him.
