President Asif Ali Zardari claims that the government is striving to ensure peace and stability in Pakistan and Karachi in particular. He said Karachi is the hub of all economic developments taking place in the country.

Talking about improving law and order situation, the President alleged that the upcoming general elections will be held on time. He said the government would not allow militants, sectarian elements and anti-democratic forces to threaten the electoral process by any means.

President Zardari shared his views during the inauguration ceremony of a number of development projects in various parts of Sindh. These projects are aimed at enhancing the infrastructure, healthcare and housing facilities in the province.

The President went on commending CM Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah while inaugurating the Township Scheme project in Karachi. He also appreciated the efforts and intellectual input of minister for housing Ayaz Soomro and others in the Benazir Housing Cell. President Zardari also laid foundation stones of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Expressway from Garho to Shah Bundar, District Headquarters Hospitals Dadu, Emergency Trauma Centres at the taluka level in Badin and Shikarpur, and launched a Township Scheme in Karachi under the Benazir Shaheed Housing Project.

“We are guided by the vision of our visionary leaders Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in this regard. Roti, Kapra Aur Makan is not merely a slogan; it is a commitment,” the President alleged.
