This Thursday, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, inaugurated the 13th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) convention in Gandhinagar. Modi arrived in Gandhinagar last night and was given a grand reception by the BJP state unit. “I have seen that the time has come for respect for India in the country and worldwide. The country has begun to talk with its head up and with eye to eye contact,” Modi said while addressing the BJP workers. “Hopes of common man as well as that of world for India have risen. There is hope in the air and there is confidence. This bridge of hope and confidence is a best opportunity for us,” Modi said. “I feel that almost all the people have realised that the country has geared up to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of people. According to me, this is the greatest achievement. This will bring good results in future,” Modi said according to India Times. “But we have to be very careful as our responsibilities increase manifold due to rise in hopes and aspirations.”
