This Monday according to one of the local media, the ruling party of Bharatiya Janata Pary (BJP) is likely to release its vision document for the city of Delhi, the national capital of India. The vision document will feature the party’s development plans for the city of Delhi. Before the release of the vision document, the party’s chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi said that “This will be a vision for 2050. A vision for Delhi to become a World class city”.

Bedi had also shared a blueprint for Delhi’s development on her social media account last week, beginning with a 25 point action plan for women’s safety. Kiran Bedi is a retired police officer, a former tennis player and now a politician and a social activist. According to Hindustan Times, the BJP had earlier announced that it will not come out with any manifesto for the Delhi Assembly polls and instead will release a vision document for the city. This decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the BJP President Amit Shah during which various aspects relating to the Delhi election campaign were discussed. “We will not release a party’s manifesto for the Delhi Assembly election this time. Instead, we will come out with a vision document. The party has set a target to win the upcoming polls,” the senior party leader and Union Minister Ananth Kumar informed the people of Delhi.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also belongs to the party, is also going to join the campaign and is reported to address four rallies. Hindustan Times further informed that the BJP has stepped up campaigning for the upcoming polls and is organizing 250 public meetings that would be held across the 70 assembly constituencies. The Delhi polls will take place on the 7th of February whereas the counting will be held on the 10th of February.
