A young girl was hit by a car on the inner West side of Sydney on Tuesday as she ran back to get her hat.

Blood trail was all over the road as the New South Wale’s ambulance services took the three year old to a nearby hospital where she could not bear the severe injuries and expired. According to the spokesperson of NSW ambulance services, the child was hit a little after 11 am. She also explained that after initial investigations it has been revealed that the girl was talking to her mother and turned back to get her hat from the road which had blown away only a couple of minutes ago and was hit by a car at the Quarry Street and the Harris Street in Ultimo.

A helicopter landed near the accident area to assist the youngster fighting for her life and helped her with paramedics before she was taken to the hospital in critical condition. However, she expired even before the medical authorities at the hospital could begin giving her the treatment. Sydney police has confirmed the death of the child. The helicopter staff which assisted with paramedics said that the girl has suffered head injuries. The road has been blocked for traffic for the time the investigation team is doing their work.
