On Friday, March 11, 2011, officers were conducting an investigation into street-level drug transactions in Ajax and Pickering. They arrested a 49-year-old man as part of the ongoing investigation. They later executed a search warrant at his Chalmers Crescent address in Ajax and seized $3,800 in marihuana, $1,500 in psilocybin, $1,300 in cocaine and approximately $27,000 in cash.
Brian RYCKMAN, age 49, of Chalmers Crescent in Ajax is charged with: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance x2; Possession of a Controlled Substance; Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x3. He was held for a bail hearing.
Four others were also charged with possession or possession for the purpose of trafficking as part of this investigation. Investigators also seized two pickup trucks as offence-related property.
