The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is seeking public assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with the 2010 murder of Serafino VIRGILIO.

A first-degree murder warrant has been issued for Pablo Rodrigo RUSSELL, 34. Police have been looking for RUSSELL since April 2010, when he was publicly identified as a suspect in this case. He is also charged with one count each of accessing and possessing child pornography.

Detectives believe RUSSELL fled the province and is likely in British Columbia’s Lower Mainland.

RUSSELL, who also goes by the first name Paul, is Hispanic, 5’11” tall, and 176 pounds. He has green eyes and brown hair. RUSSELL has a noticeable scar on his nose and a tattoo of a dragon on his upper back.

On Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, the body of VIRGILIO, 57, was located inside a vehicle that was parked in the 100 block of Falsmere Way N.E. An autopsy revealed VIRGILIO was the victim of a homicide.

Investigators believe he was killed on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, while in a home in the 200 block of Falshire Way N.E., and later concealed inside a 1999 GMC Denali.

As part of this investigation, police are also trying to locate some of VIRGILIO’s property, which may unknowingly be stored in a basement or garage of one of his acquaintances.
