District 1 RCMP members are investigating a fatal all-terrain vehicle crash which occurred on March 19, 2011, on Grand Manan.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that a 39-year-old Grand Manan man had been at the home of friends on Friday evening, and left shortly before midnight on his ATV. Saturday morning, shortly after sunrise, a passer-by spotted the man’s body near the roadside, next to his crashed ATV.
The ATV is being examined as part of the investigation. Alcohol has not been ruled out as a factor in the crash.
The man’s identity is not being released at this time.
