Officers from the Peel Regional Police Fraud Bureau have charged a 61 year-old Mississauga woman, after an investigation at the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board.

In June 2009, Peel Regional Police received a complaint that there may be some discrepancies with respect to various school bank accounts related to St. Martin Secondary School, located in Mississauga.

Investigators from the Fraud Bureau looked into the complaint, as a result of which one of the school’s administrative staff was arrested. Forensic audits found that between September 2004 and September 2007, over $70,000.00 had been misappropriated.

Mileana MURA, a 61 year-old resident of Mississauga, has been charged with one count of Fraud Over Five Thousand Dollars, one count of Utter Forged Document and one count of Falsification of Books.
