EPS Homicide Section detectives have charged a 40-year-old man in connection with the city’s 14th homicide of 2011.
Charged with 2nd degree murder and possession of a weapon is Jeil Simon of Edmonton.
A 33-year-old man died in hospital Friday night following an altercation in a residence near 67 Street and 130 Avenue.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday, March 28 at 1:30 p.m.
The victim’s name will be released once the Medical Examiner’s office concludes the autopsy.

The name Jeil Simon rang a bell. Looking up the name I also found a report of a 21 year old Jeil Simon being arrested in Mill Woods for assault and robbery. Maybe there are really two Jeil Simons. Or maybe they got the age wrong before… ?
