USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witnesses after a series of vehicular collisions left a 58 year-old Brampton woman seriously injured.
On Monday, March 28, 2011, at approximately 8:15 p.m., the suspect vehicle, a black 2011 Dodge Ram pick-up truck, was travelling in the Bovaird Drive and McLaughin Road area of Brampton.
This vehicle was subsequently involved in a series of collisions, which left six vehicles damaged and five people injured. The driver of this vehicle attempted to flee the scene, but was unable to as his vehicle had been rendered inoperable as a result of the collisions.
Police are requesting witnesses to come forward, who may have seen this vehicle driving prior to, or between, collision scenes. The collisions occurred at:
· Bovaird Drive and Edenbrook Hill Drive;
· Williams Parkway and Mclaughlin Road; and
· Mclaughlin Road and Bovaird Drive.
The victims were transported to a local hospital, all but one suffering moderate to minor injuries. One of the victims, a 58 year-old Brampton woman, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.
Michael CRISTOFIDES, a 40 year-old resident of Brampton, has been charged with a total of 14 charges:
· Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm (5 counts);
· Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm (5 counts);
· Failing to Remain at the Scene of an Accident Causing Bodily Harm (2 counts);
· Failing to Remain at the Scene of an Accident; and
Failing to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking or Recognizance.
