Officers Seize $24,000 in marijuana in Beaverton

Two accused have been arrested following a drug-related search warrant at a Beaverton residence last night where officers seized in excess of $24,000 in drugs.

On Tuesday March 29, 2011 at approximately 7:30 p.m. officers of the North Division Criminal Investigative Bureau (CIB), Community Resource Target Team (CRU) and Uniform branch executed a drug-related search warrant at a residence on Main Street in Beaverton, located in Brock Township. Both residents were arrested without incident at the scene. Officers located a marijuana grow-up in the basement of this home containing 23 plants, each plant measuring almost a meter in height. All plants and paraphernalia were seized. The street value of the drugs seized is in excess of $24,000.

Elizabeth COOPER, age 62 and Robert COOPER, age 56 of Main Street in Beaverton are charged with: Production of Marihuana and Possession of Marijuana Exceeding 30 grams. Both accused were released on Undertakings with Conditions.
