High risk offender Martin Dubitski now residing in Edmonton

In the interest of public safety, the Edmonton Police Service is issuing a warning about Martin DUBITSKI, 27, who was recently released from the Edmonton Institution after completing five years and nine months for uttering threats, mischief under $5,000 and assault a peace officer.

DUBITSKI is considered by police to be an untreated violent offender who poses a risk of significant harm to the community. DUBITSKI will be residing in the Edmonton area and will be monitored by the Behavioral Assessment Unit of the Edmonton Police Service.

The Edmonton Police Service is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community.
