Nirvani Bobooram charged in the death of Junior Gillard, Brampton

Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau have laid charges in relation to a fatal collision which occurred on April 5, 2011.

On Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at approximately 7:38 p.m., Mr. Junior GILLARD, a 42 year-old resident of Brampton, was operating his vehicle on Vankirk Drive, at the intersection of Canam Crescent. At this time his vehicle collided with two other vehicles, one of which was a tractor and trailer.

Mr. GILLARD, who was operating a silver Ford pickup truck, was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the other two vehicles were treated at the scene and released without any injuries.

On Thursday May 12, 2011, Ms. Nirvani BOBOORAM, a 45 year-old resident of Brampton, was charged with Fail to Yield to Traffic on a Through Highway, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. Ms. BOBOORAM will appear in Brampton Provincial Court on July 14, 2011.
