The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in its investigation into incidents of Mischief at the Regina Cemetery in the 2100 block of 4th Avenue, believed to have occurred last weekend. An unknown suspect or suspects damaged more than 70 headstones in the cemetery.

On Tuesday, May 17th, the Regina Police Service dispatched an officer to the Regina Cemetery after an employee of the City of Regina discovered damage to over 70 headstones.

Preliminary investigation indicates the damage occurred sometime between 4:30 p-.m on Friday, May 13th and about 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14th. A number of headstones have been pushed off their bases or toppled. Police have taken photos of the damage and checked the area for evidence, but at this time, police have not identified suspects.
