On Friday, May 20, 2011, just after 7:30 a.m., Downtown Division patrol officers responded to a call to assist EMS in the area of 110 Avenue and 83 Street.
Upon arrival, they discovered a conscious, 55-year-old male with a serious stab wound. EMS treated and transported him to hospital, where he died approximately two hours later during emergency surgery.
A 51-year-old female who was known to the victim was arrested at the scene and taken into custody. Charges are pending. Homicide detectives are leading the investigation with assistance from the Domestic Offender Crime Section.
