Timberlea man survives early morning shooting

May 30, 2011, Members of the RCMP/HRP Integrated GIS Unit are investigating a shooting in Timberlea, Nova Scotia.

This morning, Monday, May 30, 2011, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Halifax RCMP members were called to an apartment building at 1920 St. Margaret’s Bay Rd. in Timberlea. When they arrived, they found an 18-year-old male suffering from a non-life threatening gun shot wound. He was taken to hospital by EHS where he was treated and released.

Integrated GIS is now investigating.

Police do not believe this is a random act. Police are asking anyone with information about this or any other incident to come forward.
