Police Lay Charges in Blackmarsh Road House Arson

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has charged a 29 year old St. John’s man for his involvement in the June 5, 2011 residential fire on Blackmarsh Road, St. John’s, NL.

RNC Patrol officers responded to a residential fire at 32 Blackmarsh Road on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at approximately 9:25 pm. Although the residence sustained extensive damage, the sole female occupant of the two apartment home, was able to escape without injury. RNC Fire Investigators determined that the fire was suspicious in nature and at approximately 3:30 this afternoon charged KEVIN ROBERTS with Arson – Disregard for Human Life and two breaches of court orders.
