On Thursday, June 9, 2011, members of the Drug Squad – Clandestine Laboratory Unit, ended an investigation with the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances search warrant on an industrial unit on Leading Avenue.
It is alleged that:
– a highly sophisticated hydroponic marijuana grow operation was discovered,
– over 3,000 marijuana plants were seized, valued at over $3,000,000,
– the entire unit had been converted for the purpose of producing large quantities of marijuana.
No arrests were made at this time and the investigation is continuing.
