In May 2011, police received information that led them to investigate abusive behaviour that had been allegedly taking place at a Richmond Hill martial arts club. Through investigation, police determined that the suspect had assaulted at least four boys between the ages of six and 14, which occurred while the victims were enrolled as students of the club. On Thursday, June 16, 2011, at approximately 6 p.m., the accused was arrested at his place of employment without incident.

If you want your child to learn knitting or dancing, put them into knitting or a dancing school. If you want them to learn karate, judo or jiu-jitsu, than be prepared that they will come home bruised and dead tired. These are tough sports, especially jiu-jitsu.
This is probably a similar situation to angry parents attacking teachers because the teacher dared to be demanding, or God forbcomment_ID he she dared to discipline little Johnny, the spoiled brat.
What dcomment_ID you expect? That you can learn/master a potentially lethal weapon (which each of these sports could be) and you do not experience pain? That is utterly stupcomment_ID! You can only respect and appreciate how much you can hurt someone if you experienced some of that pain yourself. Otherwise you can easily become a loose canon, a schoolyard bully.
