The Toronto Police Service arrested a man in connection with a stabbing investigation.
It is alleged that:
– on Sunday, June 19, 2011, at 2 a.m., a 39-year-old woman was stabbed by a man in the Dufferin Street/Lawrence Avenue West area.
The woman was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Emanuel Almeida, 50, of Toronto, has been charged with:
1) Attempted Murder,
2) Aggravated Assault,
3) Assault with a Weapon.
They were scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Sunday, June 19, 2011, room 101, at 10 a.m.
