Targeted killing leaves one Calgary man dead

On Tuesday, 2011 June 21, at approximately 1:30am, Calgary Police and EMS responded to a 9-1-1 call from a residence located in the 1000blk of Marcombe Drive NE. Upon arrival three victims were located inside the residence, all of whom had sustained various injuries. It is believed all three victims resided at this residence.

All the victims were transported to hospital via EMS, at which time one male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The second victim, a female, sustained serious, life threatening injuries and is currently in critical condition. The third victim, a male, suffered only superficial injuries.

This residence is known to police, and this is believed to be a targeted incident.
