Police investigate the murder of elderly Washington man

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 1300 block of Levis Street, NE.

On Sunday, June 19, 2011, at approximately 5:45 pm, units from the Fifth District responded to the 1300 block of Levis Street, NE to investigate the report of an unconscious adult male.

Upon arriving on the scene, officers located an adult male victim inside of a location. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The cause of death is pending an autopsy.

The decedent has been identified as 61 year-old Glenn Scarborough of Northeast, Washington, DC.
