Sudbury police search Vermillion River for 14 year old boy

On the 26 June 2011 at approx 420pm Greater Sudbury Emergency Services which include Police, fire and EMS. Were called to a possible drowning in the Vermillion River in the Capreol area. A full scale Ground and water search is being directed to locating this missing youth. Greater Sudbury Police uniform division and Search and rescue, Sudbury Fire department Water rescue, Ems, North Shore Search and rescue are currently engaged in this comprehensive search.

Ontario Provincial police Helicopter has flown a grid search and will return at first light. The Greater Sudbury Police remain hopeful that this 14 year old boy is located as soon as possible.

Emergency services are requesting that pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the area, remain at a minimum.
