Members of the Bouctouche Detachment of the District 5 RCMP are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 11, near Bouctouche N.B.

The crash occurred on July 11, 2011, shortly before 3:00 a.m., when a motorcycle traveling northbound on Highway 11 collided with a moose just north of the Sheridan Road exit.

A 48-year-old man, from Indian Island, N.B. died at the scene as a result of injuries he sustained in the crash. He has been identified as Peter Jesse King.

The investigation is ongoing.
